The Sweetwater Police Department is budgeted for a staff of 27 employees and consists of:
- Chief of Police
- Lieutenant
- Three sergeants
- 17 patrol officers
- Four communications operators
- Administrative assistant
ResponsibilitiesOfficers are assigned to various duties within the Department, including:
- Crime prevention
- Investigation of crimes and accidents
- Maintenance of records
- Employee training
The Department provides communications services including 9-1-1 services for all of Nolan County.
