Planning & Zoning
Process
The Planning and Zoning Process has four main steps.
- Submit plat, re-plat, amended plat, or re-zoning request with the $300.00 non-refundable application fee to the Code Enforcement Office.
- Publicize description of request and notice of Planning and Zoning and City Commission public hearings three times, 15 days prior to the Planning and Zoning hearing date.
- Identify and notify by certified mail, the property owners within 200 feet of the property under consideration, of requested and public hearing dates.
- Present request to the Planning and Zoning Commission and take the recommendation (for re-zoning only) to the City Commission for final determination.
